At present, I am participating in the implementation of Nanopore sequencing technology in Abriel’s group.
I have obtained my PhD thesis in molecular and cellular aspects of biology, entitled: “Study of ORAI protein remodeling with CRISPR and quantitative microscopy”, in January 2022. I have a background in molecular biology (with specialization in cloning and CRISPR technology), and microscopy (with specialization in FLIM-FRET microscopy). I am passionate about high-end technologies that give a better understanding of biological processes. Therefore, I find Nanopore sequencing technology fascinating. Through the sequencing of ion channels coding genes such as the CFTR or the TRPM4 gene, we are willing to use the patients’ genetic information to identify variations that might help in (1) establishing diagnostic or (2) determining the more suited therapy/treatment.
