Kerim Klenja
Internship as Biomedical Scientist
Working in a research lab has always been a goal I have been aiming for since I was a little child. My interest in nature, animals, plants, and medical topics has prevailed, and my first step into this amazing field was to start an apprenticeship as a biological lab technician in Basel, a pharmaceutical hotspot. After working here and there for some pharmaceutical companies, I decided to study biomedical sciences. Gaining experience in healthcare and diagnostic labs has given me more insight into how different labs operate. I knew that after finishing my studies, I would return to research. I love learning new techniques and using what I already know from my previous experience. That is why I am happy to be in Abriel’s Group and work here on my final project on ion channel interactions.
In my free time, I like to spend time with my closest people and cooking new things. I have a huge passion for exotic plants, which I collect and love to care for daily.
