Fabienne Grunder

Master student

I am a Master’s student in Pharmaceutical Science at the University of Bern. For my thesis, I am working on a project focused on genetic diagnostics for Sickle Cell Anemia and Beta Thalassemia done with a Portable Lab. This project is a collaborative effort between Hugues Abriel’s lab at the Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine (IBMM) and Naomi Porret’s lab at the Department for BioMedical Research (DBMR).

In my free time, I enjoy various outdoor activities—skiing in the winter, and running, hiking, or mountain biking during the summer.
