Internship as Biomedical scientist

After changing my studies from Chemistry to Biomedical Analysis, I am now looking forward to completing my third and final internship that is required for my Biomedical Lab Technician Diploma. I am particularly excited about this opportunity because the work will be the basis for my diploma thesis.

My project will involve using molecular biology and cell culture techniques to study the functional effect of a new Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator gene variant, CFTR p.E1104Ter. The goal is to help identify a possible treatment option for a patient with this specific mutation.

I am highly motivated by the thought that the experiments I will do during this internship could lead to actual benefits for a patient.

In my free time, I like going outside and spending time with my friends.
